sketch page 5

A bunch of sketches I made a few days ago. Mostly Ghost Trick, and mostly Kamila. I love both.

The Shifters' Club

A digital illustration of eight characters seated in a living area with couches, a lamp, and a table in the center; spread out on said table is a large, off-brand Monopoly game. From left to right: Cookie, a child with a hollow-eyed mask, pointed ears, black-and-white hair and cats' paws, sits patiently, cross-legged on the couch. Next to them, Ravi, a boy with red hair, fox ears, and a red-and-blue sweatshirt, looks on contently. Seven Hundred, a dark-haired girl dressed in navy blues and with a red scarf, looks on from the second couch, nervous but content. Next to her, Alana, a Black girl with black dreads and a pink flower-petal skirt, excitedly points on at the game. Next to her, Dialla, a blue-haired boy with pointed ears and navy sclera, holds a triad of cards with vague disinterest. On the floor, from left to right, Finley, a child with red hair, fox ears, and a fox tail leans over the table excitedly; to her right, Sylvie, a girl with reddish-black hair, leans over her cards intently; and last, Talfryn, a boy with a bandage on his nose and an orange shirt, gestures animatedly to Finley. Each child looks like they're having fun.

Now that the fight's over, I'm posting all my attacks. (Will be backdating them, probably.) Here it is! My biggest ArtFight attack yet! I collect shapeshifter kids like coins, and all of these characters are a shapeshifter in some way and also a child (with the singular caveat being that all of them are actual kids, not immortal beings that look like kids). This netted me 524 points in total. From left to right:

Attack set two

Various ArtFight attacks. These are all revenges.

Attack set one

First set of attacks. Left-right, up-down:

Andor

I finalized the design from this post shortly before ArtFight. He wasn't attacked this year, but I'll get em next time.

Cardigan pattern inspiration.

stage two

ArtFight is just around the corner and I'm finally making some refs. Here's some very rough concepts of a few people I hope to have up by the time the fight begins.

I haven't decided whether I'm staying yet, but right now I'm on Team Seafoam!

the magic system

I made a slideshow guide to the magic system of Shifting Totality. I spent a long time on it and I'd appreciate a look. It's 22 slides long, and all the slides are hand-drawn and hand-written. More under the readmore:

year of shadow

I have a friend who requested I draw Shadow the Hedgehog. (Hey, FLG!) He really, really likes Shadow, so I did these practice sketches to get it right for him.

nail art, 2023

I do my nails for fun. Here's the best of 2023 (most recent first).

outfit memes part 1

A bunch of my characters. I found some really cool outfit memes (here and here) by traulisms on Tumblr. Not all of them fit exactly with my characters, but they're all pretty close.

eyes

Ryoko Kui does this really cool thing where she draws the eyes and mouths of her characters separately to see how their designs work with one another. I thought that would be a fun exercise, so I did it too. Unlike the rest of the artwork on this blog so far, this one is actually new!

kora

Multiple sketches of Kora, a ten-year-old girl with albinism and short white hair. She's dead, and a bloody streak runs down the left side of her forehead and in her hair. There are bloody smudges on her hands and down her dress, which consists of a pale orange blouse tucked into a high-waisted purple skirt. In one sketch, she smiles, hand to her chest, in another she stares blankly at the camera, in the third she moves forward with one hand lifted, and in the last she has her head to the side, talking to someone offscreen. In all sketches, her eyes, sclera, teeth, and mouth glow an eerie green.
Kora, my beautiful Kora! I'm having a lot of fun uploading old sketches; most of these have never seen the light of day before.

KC

Digital artwork in pink and grey; a girl in a hoodie, leggings, shorts, and a skull mask rests an angled spear over her right shoulder and wipes at her teary eyes with her right hand. With her left, she holds her stomach as if she is injured. It's raining.
I'll tell her story someday.

sailcloth concepts

Digital sketches. Five headshots of Sailcloth, a twelve-year-old windsoul genasi. The exact shade and style of her skin and hair varies between headshot, but but her skin is always a shade of dark blue or gray, and her hair is always blue, tied back in a puff with a beige headband, and has two beaded strands sticking out in front of her pointed ears.
Early concepts for Sailcloth. Even the smallest changes can make a big difference in a face.

celestine

Digital sketch. Celestine d'Arvus, a girl with black hair, blue eyes (complete with blue sclera), and a slightly confused expression on her face, reclines back with one hand braced on the ground beside her. Her tongue is sticking out and she's glancing off to the side. She's holding an ice cream cone with two scoops- one pink, one blue- and a cherry on top.
A character of mine. She's really important to me.

figure drawing warmups

Various digital figure drawings in various poses and in various shades of pink, blue, and green. They are all overlapping so that the result is a sort of blob of figures.
